This is the reason why Ireland is losing religion faster than any other country. The predominant religion is Roman Catholic, there was a huge amount of abuse and now the church is in slow decline. I don't know anyone who was abused but very few priests have gone to prison here. It is a national disgrace and will be with us for a long time.
