Agreed on the cushy aspect... but, I know 3 people that went on to become college professors and are all in their 30's... one of them is active on Voat. Certainly not a statistically significant sample, but, becoming a professor is not a "long shot". Becoming a top politician, CEO, head of a non-profit however? The odds are exponentially smaller.
