Well, understand mine - piss off. Someone isn't going to tell me where the boundaries are in terms of researching this. The genie is out of the bottle.
I really don't think he's saying, "Don't look into anyone with the name Maccoby." The number one rule is never look the other way just because someone said to. Ever. I'm pretty sure his message is, "Don't slander or harass people." After all, that is not professional investigative conduct. There is no use for that in investigation. Imagine if someone you knew was under investigation for a crime by the police and the police spammed their personal and professional social media accounts with accusations, posted the accusations matter-of-factly on message boards, etc.
Now, I doubt that most of the people doing the solid research are behaving that way, but we do have a mob element. There are people who will believe what we post here just the same as there are others who will believe what they see on TV news. If you look at all of us as a whole, we are almost certainly responsible for at least some harassment and/or slander against innocent people. We've had false leads, misdirection, etc. It happens.
I can't see an issue with the message: Be responsible about what you're doing. The fact of the matter is that most of us are not professionals. Some of us may have professional skills (or greater), but that doesn't necessarily translate to conduct.
We have more than a mob element - it has become the dominant voice here. Probably mostly because of shillage, but the average bigot is more than happy to follow along.
Well, Mr Nobel Peace Prize nominee better round up all his pals and start arresting the pedos pretty sharp then...because the more we dig the higher the number of individuals associated with, friends with, colleagues with pedos, will be gathered into the research net.
And from the video, it seems he does want the mob numbers to increase.
