Dinner could mean home cooked meal and pizza means take away. But people don't talk like that. They'd say 'Dinner or we can order something in?' etc. I refuse to believe two foodies like the Podestas would only ever eat pizza when it comes to take aways, so that pizza always meant a take away.
Yeah this just fits in with all the other references like pizza for an hour that suggest its something else.

No, the pizza wouldn't be take out. He had that pizza oven built. They'd just make it so it would be dinner in the home.
