it was at johnnys club the viper room while johnny was on stage, the mutual friend who between them was john frusciante of RHCP who was using heavily at the time, and phoenix had been spending days with him. they get there and someone from their mutual friend group gives him the drink, then they say it happened bc of his using with frusciante. at the time depp was dating wynona ryder who was set to costar in a film alongside phoenix. word is they were fucking. johnny has trailed off in interviews implying a murderous rage due to jealousy over women. we know his connection to satanism his obvious connections and someone killed phoenix i believe it was halloween also which is suggestive...
