I'm sure most of you remember this email: https://search.wikileaks.org/gifiles/emailid/19351
Headcount!
Who all is in the Austin office today who is going to want pizza? We
only have one slice and we need to know how thinly to slice it...
Simply send a single response, filed, color-coded, double-sided and
appropriately labeled, signed in triplicate and set on fire.
I was browsing through the replies and found this: https://search.wikileaks.org/gifiles/emailid/18817
Are you sure this might not be a Jim Jones Kool-Aid event? Teekell, pls eat
my slice.
I didn't know what this Jim Jones Kool-Aid event was all about so I googled it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drinking_the_Kool-Aid
The phrase derives from the November 1978 Jonestown deaths,[1][2][3] in which over 900 members of the Peoples Temple, who were followers of Jim Jones, died, many of whom committed suicide by drinking a mixture of a powdered soft drink flavoring agent (Flavor Aid and possibly Kool-Aid) laced with cyanide and prescription drugs Valium, Phenergan, and chloral hydrate, while the rest of the members, including 89 infants and elderly, were killed by forced ingestion of the poison.[4][5]
Am I reading too much into this? What is the connection between the strange pizza offer and the Jim Jones (mass suicide) reference?

Some people believe the CIA was working with Jim Jones on some weird MK-Ultra research and things got out of hand. I don't know who to believe but like everything in this abscessed wisdom tooth psychotic clown pageant there is probably much more to the story than what was officially told to us. For example the location Jim Jones and company set up shop was used previously as a CIA black site dealing with drug running if I remember correctly.
There are tons of youtube documentaries about it, you'll find them pretty easily.

Thanks DarkMath, however I still fail to understand where the sender of the email was getting at when he made a reference to Jim Jones in the one slice of pizza context.

"the sender of the email was getting at"
This is pure speculation but he could have meant the Jim Jones references as a play on the Mafia's "blood in blood out", as in "We're playing for keeps here people in case anyone forgets." kind of thing.
Maybe the person or even the group had been reprimanded recently for breaking a rule? Something is up for sure, would you ever send an email to your office mates implying you may all be murdered at the company picnic? Actually don't answer that, lol, I've worked at places where we'd email each other jokes like that. Long story, company running out of money layoffs etc.
