I went to a VERY small catholic school (St Paschal's in Spokane, WA) in which the priest at the time, Fr. O'Malley was outed for molesting boys in my class.
The Catholic church, Bishop, fellow priest & Vatican hid previous allegations that went back 30-40 years! Catholic Church paid 1 boy $50K for molestation. Then in 1989, the Vatican sent O'Malley back to Ireland w/o prosecution where he died in 2007! IMHO O'Malley, Holmes & ALL other Sick POS Pedo Priests have a VERY special place in Hell!!
I am amazed by these pay offs... what parent agrees to being paid for their child to be tortured and raped? Even after the fact, the result is the same.

How does the victim feel about this transaction?... If they save it for him/her, how does the kid spend it?... It's wacky.
How is this deal legal? Crimes were committed !!!!!
All of the allegations were dropped, which left hundreds of victims with empty injustice. I know some of these people. It is a well known fact in this area; all of New England; that pedophilia within the Catholic church, ( and so many other religious organizations), has been industrialized. And largely covered up, with victims being paid off, and priests being relocated, and "sentenced" to "a lifetime of prayer"---Pope Bergoglio.
In Ireland, a politician passed a sweetheart deal on his last day of office (bypassing Attorney General) that capped Church compensation of victims at €128 million, with the other €1.3 billion (!) to be footed by taxpayers, many of whom were victims of this organisation themselves - it still stands, and the Church still runs over 90% of our schools and many of our hospitals http://www.rte.ie/news/2011/0107/296200-woodsm/
Grrr, that just makes me ill! That's essentially what happened to small Catholic School/Church I went to, but there wasn't big local $ to push it under the rug after mid-80's...
The Vatican & (false prophet) Pope Francis need a TOTAL overhaul, if they want to continue to exist, IMHO. Pope Francis needs to be removed ASAP!
I've spoke to fellow Catholics about how the Church has changed over last 30 yrs (in a similar manner/path that MSM, Entertainment, Govt, etc has slowly infected US). We both wondered if George Soros had pedophile POS priests placed into positions (his $ to Vatican would be reason enough). There absolutely were pedo priests back to the origins of Catholicism, but not to the extent that we've seen over last 10-20-30 years.
It's probably too far reached, but one of Soros' goals is to also take down Catholic Church.
Lastly, I am in NO way defending the Catholic Church whatsoever! I've disconnected over the last few years & am disgusted by all of the top leadership!
Since the priest scandal broke there have been tons of people ages 40-80 or so who have come forward as victims, showing that the major pedophile problem was Definitely rampant 60 and 70 years ago, and very likely before that too. The survivors I know personally are around 65 to 75 years old
