What! Are you kidding me? This is a culture. Males & females grow up in these situations & the rituals are passed down generation to generation. They know nothing else becuz this is a closed off culture. They are taught that we are the abnormal ones. While men are usually the dominant figures, women are certainly more than complicit, even perps.
