One of my favorite beliefs of pot smokers: 'If only when governments want to go to war we could get them in a room and make them stay high until they talk it out there would be no war'. This post reminded me very strongly of that. I have never known a 'dumb' pot smoker. I have never known a pot smoker that is easily led. I have known many pot smokers that are calm, kind, creative and amazing team players. To me, this makes total sense.

I'm not a big smoker by any means but all pot has done for me is help me sleep. I can't function at all when I'm high. I can't read well or focus on anything. I can't even play video games. I just end up listening to music or get lost in my thoughts and pass out. Even some of the lowest quality mexican brickweed will knock me out. I'm aware that there are different strains and all but since It's illegal in my state, I don't really bother trying to look for it. The fact that my life can be ruined for something as simple as having plant matter on me or failing a drug test is too much of a risk for me to take. I'm sure it helps some people but I don't think pot is for me. I would only use it for pain relief, nausea or insomnia.

I suffer from chronic arthritis from Lymes that I contracted when I was 15. I'm 37 now and still smoke Cannabis to ease the discomfort. The only side effect I thought I was having from the consumption of Cannabis was a brain fog. I decreased processed sugar, gluten and MSG from my diet and lo and behold, the brain fog lifted. It also helped with my 'diagnosed' (I used that term loosely) Adult ADHD. In fact, changing my diet led me to a whole new world of concentration.
