In Roman Polanski's "Chinatown", Faye Dunaway's character has a "defect in the retina". She was a character hiding from her own father the daughter she had by him. Fleeing with the child in her car she was shot by her father's henchmen through the eye and that ended one of the 70's best film's and performances. With California's Oroville Dam and potential drought issues, plus the irradiated Pacific waters headed their way thanks to the Fukishima Nuclear Reactor, this film comes strangely to mind. Add to it "Rosemary's Baby" and Polanski's pedophile arrest shortly after this film came out and we might have some very interesting ethics questions to ponder.

That is Henry Kissinger's favourite film but you knew that.

Really? No I actually didn't know that! And Faye Dunaway just read out the wrong name at the Academy Awards. Maybe the defect in her iris/retina made her see the wrong name. Was that whole incident staged! I've a feeling we'll never be told in our lifetime.

And child abusing Mommie Dearest is quoted as saying: "I'm not going to speak about it," Because the coloboma iris defect thing made her blot out Emma Stone's name and only showed her "La La Land". She was a major player in this snafu. How odd is that?
