The Admin should back him. Speaking to Russia is a GOOD thing. They kicked out Soros, Clinton and McCain
They don't allow 3rd world Islamic savages to invade their country. I WANT my Admin speaking to Russia, the more the better, they're doing things RIGHT
This occurred back in July, before Sessions was even appointed. He was doing so in his capacity as Senator.
Only two things wrong with this:
1) He was the ONLY senator on the Committee who spoke with the Russians.
2) He didn't admit it under oath. NOW he admits it, after the fact.
He should have just admitted it when asked and explained it. But then, the Dims would have drug out his confirmation even more, perhaps not confirming him at all.
In the confirmation hearing they were asking about the Trump Campaign communicating with Russians not about Sessions work in the Senate
His communication with the Russian Ambassador was part of his Job as being part of the Armed Services Committee. Nothing to do with the question they were asking. Could he have been more specific? Sure but theres no reason to go off explaining about his work with the Committee when they are asking about Trumps Campaign
If someone asks you "Hey did you rob that store with that Russian guy Vladdimir?" "You would say no I didn't rob the store with Vladdimir" You wouldn't say "No I didn't rob the store with vladimiir, But I have talked with Russians before". You answer the specific question at hand
Exactly, they were specifically asking about him speaking to Russia about trump & the election. Hands down they already have a "special proscuter" on their payroll lined up to step in. Meanwhile McCabe over at the fbi hasn't reused himself after it was proven he took a 675000 bribe from clinton associate thinly disguised as a campaign contribution for his wife.

Sessions states that He as a Trump representative did not contact Russia!

He didn't need to admit it because it's none of their business. Plus they asked the wrong question:
Maybe they met to trade recipes. No one can say the meeting was about the 2016 election, and personally IDGAF if it was
