"After leaving South Park to join the "Super Adventure Club", Chef returns and the boys quickly notice that he is acting strangely as he expresses a desire to have sex with them. They go to the Super Adventure Club headquarters and discover that the group is made up of explorers who travel worldwide, molesting children. When the explorers' leader, William P. Connelly, unsuccessfully tries to hypnotize the boys, they realize that the club has brainwashed Chef."
Pizzagate related because Matt and Trey are high profile celebrities who had a fallout with Isaac Hayes over Scientology jokes. Isaac quit the show, so the South Park guys called him a brainwashed child molester part of a secret society.

I saw this on the tube the other night and wondered the same thing myself. I even saw a Simpsons episode from '04 recently in which marge said "This pizza is so awful, even the pope couldn't forgive it, and he's been turning a blind eye to a lot of stuff lately." or something to that effect and I wondered, considering their seeming foreknowledge of 9/11, whether this wasn't also a tip of the hat to those in the know.

Also, scientology was a convenient target, but was their really any provocation for the child molester part? Could that not have been a convenient topical front for their taking a stab at whomever they learned of? I feel like trey n Matt are witty enough not to need to take that low blow unnecessarily, that maybe there was more to it than them being butthurt over losing Isaac to a cult. Maybe they covertly killed two birds with one stone with that episode.
