Can you elaborate on this statement for those of us that are not so tech savvy? My understanding is that NSA can track anything back to anyone, and I think everyone here recognizes this, but you seem to be implying that entities or individuals besides alphabet agencies could connect username to real names. Frankly, I'm not all that concerned, but would still like to understand who you think has the capability to tie usernames to real ID's.

if im not mistaken all someone has to do is intercept the data packets back and forth from the server and then they can find your ip and then depending on their skill link you to an email or other methods of getting your personal identity.. they can also use trackers with javascript and cookies.. for example google and facebook use javascript to track which pages you visit and also which pages you were on before you went to google or facebook
im actually not the best "hacker" but i just know there are techniques that even amateurs can use to find out our identities on the clear net and if there was any money behind the effort it would not be hard at all because they could actually employ experts or embed trackers into voat itself
