Actually though I really did use to hear that, and it may be true.

It is pretty much undeniable now, that McCartney really did die and was replaced. (Crazy I know.) The new guy (Faul) was/is a bit of a narcissist, and it was through him that the Beatles were infiltrated by nefarious forces. The others hated him which led to the break-up. This is when and why their music changed and became spooky.

The remaining three were devastated by it. So I think they were pretty much caught off guard and ended up traumatized. Read The Memoirs of Billy Shears, or the condensed version Billy's Back. I believe it is the truth, and Sir Paul (Faul) is personally writing through a ghostwriter and a pseudonym. It explains everything, and this is why Heather Mills is so freaked and scared for her life. Lennon lost so many friends and it went deep, but losing his childhood mate was the worst. (As even Faul admits in the book.)

At the 34 second mark you hear John say some have gone (and you see the old Paul), and then he says "and some remain," and you see the new Paul (Faul, as in false Paul).

At the 56 mark Lennon says he's "loved them all," but the following photos focus on all but Paul, but esp. Harrison.

At the 1:30 mark we see all his long dead buddies and friends (including manager Epstein), they all died young, one of them good friend Stu Stutcliffe - but we see Paul last - singled out, as he was the most special to Lennon. And interestingly, at the 2:14 mark, the video is closed w/ the infamous clip of the Beatles all wearing red carnations except for Paul (Faul) who is wearing black.
