Also, the Pope already seemed like he was bought and paid for. This is good evidence he is at least willing to be persuaded to parrot political campaigns as a supposedly religious leader.

No, it's not good evidence. This was unsolicited advice from some hack journalist with a hardon for Hillary who repeatedly emailed the campaign offering advice, sucking up, and clearing his articles with them. This was what Podesta had to say in a private email to Cheryl Mills in response to some drama he caused: "To you only: Brent Budowksy. Leftie with no following, but clearly Roy sort of agrees with concerns."

Thank you. I guess I'm incorrect there, if this was unsolicited and unaccepted. It is evidence that this dude thought the Pope could be persuaded by some unmentioned means though, which is a more weak indicator. It would be interesting to match this up with when the Pope made various pronouncements in the last couple years.
