Yes he is fine and he is back on TV he had a one week suspension. "Proof of life" for a local news reporter? Come on guys, get real. He had to close Truth In Media and lost his Reality Check segment. They had to refund all of the donations they had received for a Truth In Media project about ISIS. CBS brought the hammer down on him, but he isn't dead, he isn't even fired... but he is silenced.
How can he stand still working for them after that?! He could have taken his Reality Check show online, but I suppose he doesn't want to end up dismissed as some journalist who worked for CBS and went crazy and now just has a weird conspiracy theory YouTube channel or something.

Then he cares about perception and finances more than he does the truth. So be it. He was usefull for a while. No longer.

It's not mutually exclusive. He may be doing deep investigative work during his free time on his own. He might also be a frequent contributor here.
