The book The Memoirs of Billy Shears by Sir Paul McCartney (yeah that one) explains a fair bit about keeping people quiet, N/D's and buying people off and threats. Yet some people do talk and secrets get out ("I have no problem keeping secrets, it's just my friends that I tell them to") ... that's why John Lennon said "There's only 100 people in this world that know what our music is about."
