The irony of modern Judaism is they have no idea where the Ark of the Covenant is, therefore they cannot perform the yearly Passover Sacrifice atoning for the sins of Israel. No wonder Jesus says in Revelation 3:9 "I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars--I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you."
For crying out loud they could at least build a new one (they would need proof that any selected priest is from the line of Aaron though). That's better than ditching their Messiah who was clearly prophesied. Get back to the ceremonial sacrifices. As Prince of the Puritans John Owen said about the Jews, "They worship they know not what."
