Yeah, by snopes and the NY times. Snopes "debunked" Eric Braverman being missing, by saying a tweet was sent out from his acct. Voila. No more missing person. They (no verification or validation) are no longer missing because of a tweet. Note to kidnappers: use your victims twitter acct to say "all is well, just chilling w my homies". The FBI will immediately stop searching. That's how valid Snopes is, as are the people who trust in it. The NY Times did no better a job in actually debunking the story, they just claimed it to be false. Voila, deux.
It's interesting....Debunker is kind of held as a badge of honour by some people.....You never get to understand the world if all you do is waste energy debunking to protect your belief systems
