If you're raised on rock it can be hard to go classical - but that's 'real' music. About as far as I ever got was The Blue Danube from the soundtrack 2001 A Space Odyssey. (I do like that one.) My kids like Beethoven's 9th Symphony, the mesmerizing violinist Isaac Perlman, and Antonin Dvorak, but mainly anything by Beethoven. Also Yo Yo Ma. I think Allegri - Miserere mei, Deus would be in a different genre but it sounds nice (I checked it out).
