Fwiw, I have eaten here with a friend on a SW texas field trip for a school interview. The pizza was damn good though expensive Definitely a strange town.

If you go to pizzafoundation's instagram https://www.instagram.com/pizzafoundation/?hl=en they took a pic of who followed them on twitter. https://www.instagram.com/p/BOvrOySgDKu/?taken-by=pizzafoundation&hl=en. Why would Jack Dorsey follow them???

23eulogy23 ago

Yah I seen that. Yet it still claims to be up and running. It's possible the building was built after Google drove by

ConcernedParent2 ago

Two things I noticed.

The pizzafoundation's family owns several other restaurants and their mother is a sculptor artist.

The other thing, their old website links to squeezemarfa.com ( archive link ) stating it is "THE BEST PLACE TO SHOP IN MARFA". Their logo is a swirl, and they support arts and art galleries. Despite being a small restaurant, they appear to be very well off.

Their old website, look at the swirls.

Look at an older capture of their website; "blend in"?

Could be nothing, sharing for informational purposes.

You're definitely on to something.

One thing I noticed is even if you arent aware of the symbols, their sites just give off a very creepy feel. I think its the kiddy designs mixed with the serious ones, its just creepy as hell.

Dressage2 ago

Marfa is a strange place. A lot of retired deadheads have settled there. Not far from Austin so that should also speak volumes. It is basically an artist hangout. Just watch out for the rattlesnakes.

odb281 ago

Marfa is a long way away from Austin. A roughly 6 hour drive. If you consider 6 hours close, I want to live in your world

Dressage2 ago

In Texas, that is real close!

So went to pizza foundations location on Google maps. It has been torn down. Yet they still say they are operating. Location 305 South Spring Street marfa TX

ConcernedParent2 ago

Is their logo a man wearing one of those masquerade masks?

goodguy1367 ago

I thought that and his face also looks like an erect penis and balls if you turn it upside down! Pretty weird "shop" and "merch" if you ask me

beloved_dawn ago

His hat looks like lips with a tongue sticking out, and it looks like fluid dripping down the front of the pizza guy's dress. Creepy logo! Is the mask covering a pizza face? Looks like a pizza face mostly when you see the logo on a black background with white ink. And he's wearing a dress?

goodguy1367 ago

It does too, almost as if its a tongue licking the balls? Yea certainly a strange logo and the links just keep directing you to other sites

DontTreadOnMemes ago

In an instagram post the user (friend of pizzafoundation instagram) oldflea draws attention to the cock & ball aspect of the logo. http://archive.is/K76sK

Something is up with the pizzafoundation site I can't get through corp filters.... wth is on that page???

DontTreadOnMemes ago

This is his portfolio http://mercerblack.com/web-work/ it lists the sites he manages:

Current project:

www.mightaswellmexico.com

A sampling of past projects:

www.hitched-magazine.com

www.marfaeducationfoundation.org

www.pizzafoundation.com

ww.fourpintsgrowlers.com

www.thegetgomarfa.com

Check this out... one of his sites, Marfa Education Foundation... the logo is a freaking OWL.
http://www.marfaeducationfoundation.org/ http://archive.is/ie0jo What's interesting is when you click Contact it doesn't take you to a list of board members or staff or even to their address. They are a freaking PO Box. http://archive.is/iOGY0 (That archive link does not take direct to contact even though that's where it leads, you need to scroll down. But take a look at the background photograph that was captured in the screenshot... It's a bunch of kids putting on a play where they burn a little girl at the stake).

Here's their list of donors. http://www.marfaeducationfoundation.org/donors/ http://archive.is/gRQLf

An owl logo by itself doesn't mean anything. The play is joan of ark according to the fb. We're going to look silly if we spur on a witchhunt of a perfectly legit education institution.

thelandofchocolate ago

" investigating child pornography to put a stop to it isn't worth it cause we might look silly." I am tired of seeing these fucking stupid comments.

Correct, that is a stupid comment that I never uttered and you just made up. All I said is that you need something more substantial than what you've shown. Looking silly IS important to avoid, or it gives ammo for dissenters and disbelievers to discredit the whole. We want public opinion on our side.

DontTreadOnMemes ago

Did you forget to switch accounts when you replied to yourself?

thelandofchocolate ago

I replied to you, moron.

BoraxTheFungarian ago

Oh NO! Heaven forbid we look silly. Ypu're right, investigating child pornography to put a stop to it isn't worth it cause we might look silly. I am tired of seeing these fucking stupid comments.

DontTreadOnMemes ago

The site came from this guy's portfolio, the same guy who makes PizzaFoundation. It also does not have an actual address only a PO Box. Very suspect if you ask me.

DontTreadOnMemes ago

Interesting, I'm looking at the PizzaFoundation menu right now and they appear to be only open on the weekends. That's pretty odd...

Edit- Ok followed the Mercer Black link and checked out his portfolio. Now I found his Vimeo. Whoever runs Mercer Black is named Jordan Smith. It looks like he primarily does wedding photo & video work. That's really strange that a Pizza shop's website leads directly to a wedding photographer's website.... https://vimeo.com/jrdnsmth

Back to PizzaFoundation.org... Here's the archive of their "Merchandise" page. https://squareup.com/market/pizza-foundation http://archive.is/01UQ1
What stuck out to me the most about this page (besides how ugly their logo is and how absolutely horrendous their clothing line is-- no reasonable person would ever buy it) is at the very bottom of the page. > "About

East coast, hand tossed pizza in a big blue metal building by the 2nd flashing red light menu link below https://mobile.twitter.com/pizzafoundation/status/418535357747965952/photo/1?screen_name=pizzafoundation"

Here is an archive of the link that they have to a Twitter post. http://archive.is/gOjO3 What stands out to me here is that first, they want you to call ahead, next is the very odd pricing on all of the items on the menu.

Here is an archive of their Twitter account, @pizzafoundation http://archive.is/rnpJC

Here is an archive of their Instagram account, instagram.com/pizzafoundation http://archive.is/EkyJV

Archive of a photo posted on PizzaFoundation Instagram friend @Oldflea. It shows two people in a dirt lot with a Pizza Foundation sign. Possibly the building was torn down? Not sure. They tagged @pizzafoundation in it http://archive.is/na0dK
