Flynn will just work for Trump on the outside in a non announced position. Like Newt is doing. Newt just wants to be someone who helps dream up the big picture stuff. Flynn can do many things still and might be more free to act as a private citizen.
I agree with GeorgeT on Newt, but you are dead on about Flynn... In many ways his hands have been untied and he could in another capacity be fully engaged now.
