You have to look at the complete picture. Start from the Owl, go further down ... it's sitting on a pyramid. At the bottom of the pyramid is a huge scarab, a dung beetle, pinned in its place by a giant obelisk. The Owl is Them, sitting at the top of the heap, kings of kings, overseeing everything. The dung beetle is us. Working, slaving, spending our time and freedom and body and life not on ourselves, but on adding more dung to their heap. The ball of dung is the material world: we are obsessed by it. It's all we know. It's all we can see. We embrace it. We roll it and roll it in front of our eyes, truly believing this is all there is.
The obelisk keeping us in our place, is a sun-dial, pointing at the sun. Few people realize this, but up until very very recently, the only way we were able to see our reality, was because the light of the sun entered our eyes, igniting and illuminating what we take for reality. For most people, seeing is believing, and their reality is dictated to them by the light of the sun. Many people assume the Illuminati are sun-worshippers. But they're not: they are the Owl, a creature of the night. They want US to worship the sun, and keep blinding ourselves by its brightness. In many Egyptian murals, the ball of dung held by the scarab, is often painted gold, representing the sun. It's us, embracing our illusions.
So there you have it: their cynical take on humanity. "We the people" ... my ass. Apparently, they couldn't care less.
And for a bonus ... did you know that there exists a species of owl that displays the habit of sitting on heaps of dung? It's called the burrowing owl. And do you know what the burrowing owl's favorite food is? Dung beetles!
And here's another one: do you realize that Christmas is our yearly re-affirmation of this model of reality? We drag a pyramid into our own house, dress it up with tinsel, celebrate it, and look forward to receiving the presents at the foot of the pyramid. We gobble it up, as if the Gods themselves have granted our wishes. And at the top of the christmas-tree-pyramid, there's usually some kind of special star or other decoration that somehow requires special attention and adoration. This is how we are taught to look up for guidance, look up into the eye of the heavens, not expecting any understanding or elevation, but quietly accepting of our role as earth-bound maggots, patiently waiting for the Ones-At-The-Top to grace us with their presents. Presents we have to pay for ourselves, of course.
This is why Stanley Kubrick placed Christmas tree in every scene of "Eyes Wide Shut". Rainbow colored christmas trees: the ultimate and most celebrated brainwashing tool of all, teaching us to keep looking at the multi-colored illusions of the world, while accepting guidance from above. The only place in the movie where no christmas trees are present, is the castle where the Illuminati engage in their rituals. Which makes perfect sense.
It's very powerful programming, and it taps right into the fact that we are physically/neurologically wired to feel/act intimidated by anything that it physically taller than ourselves. That's why leaders tend to sit on top of pyramids, or in the top floor of some huge tower. Read Robert A. Wilson's "Prometheus Rising" for a deeper understanding of this phenomenon.
