Think Colbert was just making an off-color remark (cucked as he is), though "cheese plate" is a little odd in word choice. Remember, pedos may use food as code, but not every food reference refers to pedos (even the "balls deep" ones).

Actually, a lot of [wealthier] people do eat cheese off of a "cheese plate". FWIW.
But that's why I'm saying it's probably just an off-color remark. Cheese plates are a real thing.
