He was probably just joking...then again, I haven't seen him openly calling pizzagate fake and baseless, either, though I admittedly don't keep up with all his videos.
I think he was slipping it in there, in a darkly humorous way, leaving people to wonder about what he meant. Jimmy often says that comedians make jokes about horrible stuff because otherwise they would cry.
