Most researchers understand that hype trains aren't really persuasive if the ideas aren't very well thought out. I think some of the hype here is overblown through targeted shilling to help discredit everything about it.
One of the signs is that hype and emotion are ramped up in a way that divides people close to party lines . People actually agree on a whole lot. And they agree that government sucks. But they get us chasing paper dragons created to convince us to distrust common people. So be careful with hype and emotion. We can use them to much better advantage when the time is right.
