According to a recent comment from George on his video, he believes the #vault7 thing could be a diversion from the 'proof of life' question:
"To me, it seems like a clever diversion from the fact we have no proof of life for Assange. Yes, it makes me think Julian is already at a black site. He has never done this kind of thing before.
To me, the meme is the whole Kissinger Doomday Plan/ Dr. Strangelove mineshaft thing. Hiding the gold in tunnels, nuclear war, melting steel, the whole going to the temperature of jet aircraft exhaust,, using the seeds to replant after the 80 year half life of Strontium 90, etc. It may be a reference to three 9/11 whistleblowers about ready to drop documents.
They did the same thing with the Zodiac killer to cover that sex ring. They had people spinning starchart wheels and taking astronomical observations trying to find the killer. I think the Navy was running that ring out of Oakland and San Francisco. There is always a diversion."

I was just thinking about zodiac killer and if it fit into all this. Questions get answered pretty easily when a ring gets considered.
