De Voss is not a good thing for the children of this country. Not all of Trumps picks will be good for the children and their parents and grandparents. De Voss has never taught in a classroom. She knows nothing about running a school. I am hoping that Sessions does what we are waiting for. I am willing to give Trump a chance although I did not vote for him, voted third party.If De Voss takes office, I will keep an eye on her and everyone else should too. She will feather the nest of the rich because they all have investments in Charter Schools, including the Clintons. We must protect our children in all ways. Just Sayin'.
A lot of libertarians oppose public schools for the brainwashing and dumbing down of America, sex education corrupting the youth and the overall moral decline of the country. My son was only in first grade when he came home from school asking about sex change operations that he had learned about from a library book. I wrote to the principal asking them to remove the book from the library and they couldn't figure out what I was talking about because it wasn't in the book. So we figured out it must have been a book another classmate brought, or a book fair book.

I don't know much about this person Betsy whatever, but I am a licensed school teacher who hasn't taught since 2004 and I can easily say that it wouldn't matter if she had ever set food in a public school in her life. Those places are the dumbest fucking places on planet earth these days. Even a feral cat could do a better job than the people running them all right now.
I agree that there are strange things going on in the public schools, and it did start with Common Core, the horrible demanded testing, and change in our history books and yes other books. I believe it was part of the elite pedophiles in our govt. that wanted to sex-ify our kids. You are right that a child your son's age is way to young to learn about such things. I could care less whether Betsy is a Rep. or Dem. or what. What I am worried about is the Investments in the Charter Schools. There is nothing wrong with Public Schools, they served all of us pretty well in the past decades, but they have been taken over by those that are only interested in their own agenda, and no longer care about educating our children. The Koch Bros. (Libertarians) have made many changes that are quietly implemented and few people know about. They are all in on this together and as one member on here said, they are laughing at dinners that they all attend together. I am hoping that she is a good appointee, and if not, that he gets rid of her pronto.

Yeah, it certainly appears that even Ms. DeVos has 52 votes - Sessions should have far in excess of that, or in a partisan shit-fest exactly that.
It's so fun to observe that stalling of his nomination may be the only thing that gives the (R)s enough votes to get Ms. DeVos through.
