It's amazing that these lies about Planned Parenthood continue on --

Fetal Tissue Donation was APPROVED by Congress -- including prominent members of the GOP. The Law Enacted in 1993 also allowed for "reasonable costs" connected to preserving and transporting the material.

Republicans Repeatedly Voted To Use Aborted Fetuses For Scientific Research McConnell voted in favor — along with several other staunchly pro-life Republican lawmakers, like John McCain, Orrin Hatch, Fred Upton, and Lamar Smith. https://thinkprogress.org/republicans-repeatedly-voted-to-use-aborted-fetuses-for-scientific-research-7481d85d4b82#.w7c61eedk

McConnell Voted In 1993 To Legalize Fetal Tissue Donations After Abortion Wherein the 1993 law also explicitly allowed for compensation for the handling of the fetal tissue donations which include reasonable payments associated with the transportation, implantation, processing, preservation, quality control, or storage of human fetal tissue.” http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/mitch-mcconnell-fetal-tissue-donations-abortion_us_55b28329e4b0074ba5a479d1

Let’s Do the Math In reality, $30-100 probably constitutes a loss for [Planned Parenthood],” Sherilyn J. Sawyer, a biotech expert at Harvard, told FactCheck.org. **http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2015/09/28/doing_the_math_on_how_much_profit_planned_parenthood_is_supposedly_making.html

Planned Parenthood stops taking money for fetal tissue donations Planned Parenthood announced Tuesday that it will no longer accept any reimbursement as part of its fetal tissue donation program, taking its strongest step yet to end the onslaught of conservative attacks against the group.
“This new policy removes beyond the shadow of a doubt the ludicrous idea that Planned Parenthood has any financial interest in tissue donation — and shows the real agenda behind these attacks,” Richards wrote in a statement. Experts have said that what PP was charging for these fetal tissue donations - $30-$100 per donation for storage, transportation and other related costs - would barely have covered their costs.... PP will now absorb all costs. http://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/256752-planned-parenthood-will-no-longer-accept-reimbursement-for-fetal-tissue

And on the overall O'Keefe scam where he took 15 hours or more of video and then "edited" it to have people say what he wanted them to say: --

Unspinning the Planned Parenthood Video Several Republican presidential candidates have claimed that Planned Parenthood is “profiting” from abortions. But the full, unedited video they cite as evidence shows a Planned Parenthood executive repeatedly saying its clinics want to cover their costs, not make money, when donating fetal tissue from abortions for scientific research.

Four experts in the field of human tissue procurement told us the price range discussed in the video — $30 to $100 per patient — represents a reasonable fee. “There’s no way there’s a profit at that price,” said Sherilyn J. Sawyer, the director of Harvard University and Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s “biorepository.” http://www.factcheck.org/2015/07/unspinning-the-planned-parenthood-video/

No, Planned Parenthood Is Not Selling Aborted Fetal Body Parts The video itself opens with a short clip of former Planned Parenthood president Gloria Feldt that is edited to give the appearance of condemning the recorded conversation that follows. But the 20/20 segment on which Feldt appears is actually an investigation into abuses made by private sector “tissue and organ procurement companies.” And Feldt even went on to later affirm that “Planned Parenthood supports research using fetal tissue in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines and are deeply concerned about the attempt by some to profit from the humanitarian contributions of courageous women.” http://gawker.com/no-planned-parenthood-is-not-selling-aborted-fetal-bod-1717823538

Further confirmation that there was NO profit by Planned Parenthood in handling fetal tissue donations which, btw, were donated only at the request or with the approval of the patient.

Jim Vaught, president of the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories and formerly the deputy director of the National Cancer Institute’s Office of Biorepositories and Biospecimen Research, told us in an email that “$30 to $100 per sample is a reasonable charge for clinical operations to recover their costs for providing tissue.” In fact, he said, the costs to a clinic are often much higher, but most operations that provide this kind of tissue have “no intention of fully recovering [their] costs, much less making a profit.”

Carolyn Compton, the chief medical and science officer of Arizona State University’s ** National Biomarkers Development Alliance and a former director of biorepositories and biospecimen research at the National Cancer Institute, agreed that this was “a modest price tag for cost recovery.” Compton told us in an email: ” ‘Profit’ is out of the question, in my mind. I would say that whoever opined about ‘profit’ knows very little about the effort and expense involved in providing human biospecimens for research purposes.”** http://www.factcheck.org/2015/07/unspinning-the-planned-parenthood-video/

Also recall that PP is a NON-PROFIT organization -- however, some of the PRIVATE organizations charge much higher fees for fetal tissue donations.

The Videos At one point in the unedited video (which was also released by the group), Nucatola says:
Affiliates are not looking to make money by doing this. They’re looking to serve their patients and just make it not impact their bottom line.”

Planned Parenthood which serves mainly women of moderate means is under constant attacks by anti-abortion groups. This has ranged from very disruptive protests at clinics, to bombings resulting in death to clinic workers -- and even actual MURDER of doctors who perform abortions at women's clinics.

Your links do nothing but confirm the bias/coverup of this industry. Huffington Post, Gawker, the Hill, "Factcheck". All of them. Go do some real research and stop listening to fake news.

If you have any evidence, present it. This was 15 hours of video reduced to a few minutes. And just as was done to Acorn, which was simply registering Democratic voters, it was all based in lies and distortion. All history will show you that we are always in the hands of the few violent who are willing to go to any lengths to hold power. The rise of the right is dependent upon violence, lies, propaganda -- that's always been true and it is still true today.
