I can't think of any reason they'd f*** with his twitter account other than someone served him with papers notifying him he was being sued. In a libel suit I think there's a possibility the defendant gets a gag order, although I'm not sure. I've racked my brain over how he could be shut up and can think of nothing else.
He did it himself. See the comments above about how he deactivated. It's a ploy to get attention and make people talk about Flat Earth suddenly. I have to hand it to him, he picked a nice little conspiracy theory to fuck with us over.
