I don't know, but can anyone give an explanation why there are not public flights up to low orbit? Seriously, back in 1987, the public was demanding it...then that accident demonstrated its too dangerous for the public to go up there. There's been a 30 year track record of no accidents since then. Do the rockets only blow up when the public tries to go up there or what? Don't you think for 20 billion a year, it would be of more value to the public to set the shuttle up for passengers instead of payload? They could charge for the trips, people would pay large amounts to go up and circle the earth in orbit....that program would pay for itself...and seems way easier to do than sending a craft all the way to Mars....30 million miles away to take a photo....or to Jupiter 300 million miles away. Low orbit begins at 50 miles up....not a million.
So yeah, I do wonder if they really go up there. I mean here's the press conference..yeah, edited down....all the circle jerk promotion and talk about how they're going to name their kids after the mission...what a great achievement for mankind...etc was removed and what's left for proof they went anywhere? Sounds to me like they lying. That Adam guy, the team leader....I mean come on...really? With 20 million a year in tax funding, you'd think they could hire a better actor....like DeGrasse Tyson..he at least sounds smart. But of course the entranced won't see anything wrong with the press conference...they "Believe" those guys really remotely landed a craft on the surface of a planet 30 million miles away. When I look at it, I see actors. Same trick as the "gunman" at the pizza place. Or the news stories of shootings that came with the push for gun control. Funny how mass casualty shootings went from an average of 3-5 per year up until 2008 or so, to over a hundred per year now.
