'National Security' I When you're high up enough in the gov (or in economic system, same same) you are the gov so the gov deems an investigation a threat against itself thus a threat against the nation. Can't have a secure nation if the pop thinks the gov is corrupt as all shit, even if the gov is really corrupt as all shit. I'm talking out of my ass, but I could see a law somewhere, probably classified for national security reasons as well, saying around the same thing in legalise
