This is twisted way to smear anti-Trump demonstrators, because what will Trump supporters say if one of their own is found to have a sex conviction? If a demonstrator does something wrong while demonstrating, that is one thing, but being a "sex offender" just means breaking one of the government's sick, neo-Victorian laws, which should not be a crime at all.

My 2 cents on group judgment: This is not the same as finding one member of the group and smearing the group. It's legit to criticize the leaders of a march or a group, because those are the most visible and vocal people to the protesters, to the media, and the public. These are the first people who should be questioned and focused on, and it also indicates where funding may be coming from, and what other causes may be behind the face-value message.

Would you say that Trump as a leader is not a legitimate target of criticism for his acts and how it reflects on the people who support him? Attending a "women's march" led by a pro-Sharia advocate sends a very bad message to some people, as another example, but a minority of violent people there can't color the whole group. I agree we should use the same standards for both sides. I think that the protesters and especially rioters have a lot more to answer on double standards though in their completely inconsistent and partisan interpretations and their double standards as to what is hate and what is violence, always exempting their side's actions.

Last, if the same things keep happening at a protest/riot time after time, there does begin to accrue some responsibility to the non-violent protesters that attend. At some point, you can start to say the protesters either are hopelessly informed as to what members of their groups are doing or are supportive of the use of violence and property damage by fellow protesters. You can't attend a dozen KKK meetings and say well I like the interesting company but I don't agree with any of it, believably at least. We would say that that person at least accepts some of the views, whether they admit it or not. So the lack of concern for leftist violence is a criticism that can be made after a long pattern has been developed.
