So is it that the purpose of the hearing is to get testimony and then recommend DOJ action? I'm still not sure the purpose of hearings. I didn't remember about the Benghazi whistleblower being demoted but I am not surprised. Oh I did think of one person who got jail time and that is John Beale from the EPA. If you have not heard that hearing I would highly recommend. Very entertaining. He pleads the 5th but there is still a lot that gets said. He was an EPA big wig who pretended he was a CIA agent. He would tell his boss at the EPA he needed to be gone for x amount of weeks on a secret mission. They'd let him go and no one bothered to check with the CIA to see if he really was employed there as well. The truth is he was at home reading or bike riding, etc. They didn't catch him until he got greedy with his retirement.
