The DOS employees referenced are political employees. They are required to submit resignations when the President who appointed them leaves office. Quite often a good proportion of resignations are declined, i.e.; the people can stay on into the following administration.
Not this time, which is a good thing in my mind.
But it's not the earth shattering news the lame stream media outlets or butthurt/SJW brigade would have you think.
