This is nothing. WIkileaks are pointing out the irony of it, is all. HIllarious... considering the treatment the gov have given / continue to give to whistleblowers, they now want them to release leaks to them? cough splutter

MolochHunter ago

agreed, lurch91, you missed the wikileaks snark

justanotherpizza ago

unfortunate that WL is not explicitly questioning the whistleblower request. it leaves too much room for interpretation. both pro and con.

SpikyAube ago

Yeah I can see why it might be ambiguous for people who don't read in a tone of voice, which many people don't. But given the context and the phrasing, it's definitely a dig/laugh at their expense.

lurch91 ago

Well, at least I know Im not completely insane. Thank you.

lurch91 ago

The reason i dont believe its snark is because people value wikileaks, and what they stand for. Why would they retweet this when obviously people like me didn't get the message? I am sure there are plenty of other that seen no joking matter in it.

I think you're missing the partisan nature of it. She's trying to lay a groundwork of some anonymous whistleblower coming out and saying something negative about the Trump Admin. Demi's are desperate. It's very transparent. Wikileaks is laying the groundwork for something else by pointing it out.

MolochHunter ago

but to suggest Assange has a suddenly found faith in the democrats is... well... uncharacteristic

lurch91 ago

In which he is doing with the tax returns. We know he is non-partisan, but why the sudden switchup to trumps taxes immediately from everything in the emails that he knows for a fact people like us are investigating and is a major issue? I guess i just thought too soon combining everything that's going on and then seeing this, im beyond tired because this is my life and has been for 2 months. I may have been overly cautious, but in no way shape or form was i trying to be a ctr cuck and post false information/conspiracies. Im going to bed, and i'll check what has happened here when i wake up, and if it proves theres nothing to this, like i mentioned in my post i will happily delete it. But i ask that the mods dont just so people can at least give me their thoughts. If this comment gets buried, please do your best to get this recognized, id greatly appreciate it. Thank you all for what you do here.

It's always worth it to be suspicious of everything and collect many opinions and trains of thought on and issue!

This. In other words: One must collect knowledge and evidence from a vast array of resources, and look for patterns to discover the truth.

Indeed. Are you suggesting Lurch, that Wikileaks twitter has been compromised and the .gov are soliciting leaks through the acct? Or what are you thinking has happened ? Im not getting your train bro.

lurch91 ago

Im just saying not everyone is obviously going to imply or think its mockery because i obviously didnt. I know i cant be the only one because there is NO wording in that tweet from wiki that would lead me to believe otherwise aside from the comments im getting on here that its a joke. if i had known everyone else got the memo and im a faggot, i wouldnt of posted this here.

Honestly, i dont know what to think because assange did a live ama on the 12th i believe on reddit, he read off the lastest blockchain and recited that days news and sports scores, and me personally, i seen no signs of cgi. So im so confused. Im not implying anything. what i ran across in this post just struck me awfully weird. I honestly dont know what to think now.

SpikyAube ago

It's in the 'after 8 years of persecuting whistleblowers' they now want to hear from them - that is not really a great advertisement is it? That would be like saying "Why don't you go and give your info to these same people who just spent the best part of the last decade hunting down people like you?"

privatepizza ago

Understand. I wouldn't say it's mockery, just Wikileaks pointing out that .gov are now telling whistleblowers that it's safe to leak to .gov. Thats newsworthy due to its outrageousness.

We've no reason to think Julian is compromised. For the heads up that Claire appears in the Podesta and DNC leaks, props to you. Let's dig....
