It's fucking heinous, isn't it? Sort of makes you understand why God ordered genocide on Molech worshipers in the Bible...
Yes indeed. The narrative of an angry, vengeful God is totally changed when you consider what the people inhabiting the lands that he helped destroy were doing at that time.
