While I don't see anything nefarious in the mural that is near Politics and Prose, discussed here, this thread did get me to wondering about other murals in the area.
So, I decided to search for the term: "Buck's Fishing and Camping mural".
While not technically a mural there is a very large 7' x 13' painting that hangs behind the bar at Buck's by an artist named Lucy Hogg.
This painting, titled "V#1" depicts a reclining nude woman (Venus?) and 5 nude, winged infants floating above her (Cherubs?).
Ordinary, this would be of zero concern, but put it in context with Alefantis and Pizzagate and it does raise an eyebrow.

Once again, we have a major news source, this time the NYT, weaving the JAMES ALEFANTIS biography though the American lexicon.
Has a 'nobody' ever had this level of favorable articles and notations throughout the DC and NY press?
' Buck’s is owned by James Alefantis, a well-known Washington art and food impresario, who also owns Comet Pizza and Ping-Pong two doors farther north on Connecticut. Comet, with game tables on the sidewalk in good weather, draws families with young children early in the evening and later becomes a hangout for Gen Xers.. '
This is just a bizarre article, even for the NYTimes. What is it? A restaurant review? It reads like a passed note in high school.

Huh?
And that was a blog entry, not a news report.
