Windows 7 up to 10 has a decent windows paint that can do cropping easily after doing an alt-print screen - ctrl-v (paste) into paint. It's in accessories. You don't want to run windows 10 because it's spyware and reports all keystrokes URL etc back to your friends in Langly. Use tails (ubuntu crap) or switch to Sabyon.org linux for beginners and quit windows why you are ahead seeing you wont need to unlearn anything and you already seem to have as what we in the industry say is "finger trouble"

The screenshot in linux (gnome) lets you select a small area you want to grab, but getting forensically what you downloaded is better for court, hence why I told you to use Mozilla archive and faithful save files. Capturing network traffic with wireshark.org would be nearly unstoppable in court if you uploaded it and weren't capturing your other stuff like gmail auth etc which is a bummer so don't share it publicly - give to someone on a CD or something.
