How did voat get attacked?

instead of showing this thread https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/
a page showed saying this site (subverse) does not exist.
It wasn't the cartoon goat that sometimes shows when the server is busy. Then the page loaded normally a minutes later.
Definitely some strange stuff going on, I heard about the sli.mg pictures going missing, no idea what happens there I just hope they aren't lost for good
