I get the whole concept behind "messages" but it seems a bit wasteful. If they wanted to shut him up, the easiest most concise way to do so is to literally shut him up. It's possible the episode he had post shaking hands with a stranger was one such attempt to Breitbart him...but if I were a criminal trying to keep my story quiet, killing someone's friend to "scare" them seems like a waste of time. Lots of people get killed for whistleblowing and no one is ever caught...Seth Rich..Aaron...Andrew....just to name a few.
