Doesn't this just say that 22 employees are being laid off because of the discontinuation of the Clinton Global Initiative? I know this is important but does it actually mean that the whole foundation is closing?
I read somewhere recently that the CF was originally chartered, if that's the word, to do things related to Clinton's presidency, like build his library, and its expansion might not have been strictly by the book.
CGI seems to be the controversial element of the CF, the pay-to-play "charitable works" element. If CGI were to shut down, the CF would likely still exist.
