Personally I think it also sounds more convincing without mentioning 'Satanic'. And it doesn't matter to me what's behind, it's about what they do. Who cares if they did it for Santa or Satan.
That's basically what I'm getting at. I think a lot of people are overlooking this because linking it to Satanism makes it sound childish and far-fetched.
I agree that it helps to avoid the Satanic stuff when INTRODUCING people to the subject. BUT it is entirely a different matter when it comes to RESEARCHING the subject. "KNOW THY ENEMY" is the first rule of combat. Knowing who they are, not making them be the kind of Satanism that we understand, but understanding the kind of Satanism that they are, (IE Molech worshipers), is a definite aid.

Not everything evil = satanism. We're dealing with evil that we don't understand, why can't we just leave it at that?
