That is a disturbing sentiment on so many levels.
Re Pollack: I viewed a YouTube of a former Soviet intelligence officer that claimed modern art was a deliberate attempt by the Soviets to separate man from his humanity in order to better program them. Some of this art is just silly but the Instagram link is pretty heinous; full of demons, rot, phalluses on kids' faces - not a fan. These nasty people seem to use art to justify the expression of their inner demons onto a, to them, naive public. I think they really hate innocence because it threatens their hateful world.

Sounds like an accurate assessment. I once thought it was just people with bad taste and a pompous desire to seem edgy. As an English major I was always struck how tons of Postmodernist authors were clearly deeply disturbed and their writings a cry for help. When their nihilism they pontificated on in their books finally overtook them they would violently kill themselves. This art isn't even that. It is just gleeful sexual sadism.
