It isn't automatically a choice between prank and truth. It could be a government lie. So, he wouldn't go to jail.

Remember that the CIA overthrew a democratically elected government [Iran], and then released the documents around the year 2000. If the government can tamper with the Iranian election, and the US election, then they have the resources and skills to tamper with this investigation.

Do they have the motive?

I'm not claiming that Pizzagate Gear is fake. I'm honestly starting to trust him now, but he needs to behave a bit better.

I didn't think he was behaving badly... depending on how ya define badly.

I just don't think his actions were well thought out, and maybe a little emotionally driven. We can all be emotionally driven, so I really relate to him on that one, but I'm not putting out vids either.
If I were I'd make sure I had tactics in place and some type of pre-scripted format.

If I were selling t-shirts I'd just put a link in the comment section and leave it at that.

But, like you, I'm really starting to believe his story, and think he's well meaning, just needs better adviser directives before he acts is all.

It's hard to trust, I've been lied to many times in life, so it's very good that he's willing to come forward with more data and proof, because if it's legit it could be the hero event that forces an investigation - or the bad event that smears it to hell.

You have a good perspective.

lul, sometimes, but I'm also a little salty, I know... I know.
Please forgive any saltiness in advance.
