Ephesians 6:14-17
Stand, therefore,
with truth like a belt around your waist,
righteousness like armor on your chest,
15 and your feet sandaled with readiness
for the gospel of peace.
16 In every situation take the shield of faith,
and with it you will be able to extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit,
which is Gods word.
Truth is what you have faith in. The "sword of the Spirit" is God's written words in the scriptures. Just God's words of truth can be weapons against spiritual forces. For example, "greater is He Who is in you (believer) than he (evil one) who is in the world."

Love this one: Psalms 91 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.

The point is that you can't trust Paul to be honest about the important stuff. Truth and faith are not the same thing.
