John Podesta was pushed into the NSA a long time ago and given review authority on cryptographic policy, among other things. There are so many "experts" out there that are anything but. Podesta's probably capable of conceptualizing things and putting out Powerpoints with the help of real subject matter experts, but he probably doesn't actually know the first fucking thing about coding and relies on other people's pre-made scripts and applets for everything
