He's smart to start with Alefantis and not the emails becuase then you have to defend the assumptions made about the emails.

I stopped when he said Political Action Committees were donating to Comet Ping Pong. How is that people are still getting this wrong?

Donations can be seen here, here, and here.

What is it we're getting wrong?

You don't make donations to for profit businesses you pay them for goods and services they provide you. When a candidate goes out to Iowa to campaign, he buys a plane ticket. That's not a donation.

If you go here https://beta.fec.gov/data/disbursements/?two_year_transaction_period=2016&max_date=01%2F03%2F2017 you can see other private companies that got disbursements: Staples, American Airlines, Uber, Delta Airlines, Price Cutter, Verizon Wireless. Political Action Committees pay companies all the time, this is not unusual whatsoever. I"m sure there's limits and rules, but on a basic level, it doesn't tell you much.

So it's evidence of them paying Comet for something? what would a PAC be buying from Comet worth 20k?

My guess would be renting the restaurant and food and drink. But that's a legit question.
