I doubt it. numbchuck was the only one who offered to be a mod. kingkongwaswrong's policy was to never mod anyone who asks to be a mod, and to review comment history before making someone a mod. He made an exception with numbchuck because at that time the mod team was really slim and we were getting buried with shitposts. We do keep an eye on the deleted submissions log, though, so if someone else tries this, they will be caught as well.
This makes the most sense. It will be easiest and most practical to let OPs repost their own deleted submissions, after all they will know which ones were theirs better than we would.
"Undelete" requests just mean people don't understand that we literally can't do that.
Here is a guess: a story came up that this mod felt really needed to be squelched, so they squelched it and a bunch of others to make it difficult to figure out. Could it be the story in the middle that was just posted about Miguel Flores-Vianna? It looks like that's hardly received any attention up until now, so I recommend a bunch of us take a look.
My daily post limit was reached according to the site. 5 a day or something is the limit? Weak. I wish their was some transparency between who owns/operates this site and what the rules are. I've heard people can't even sign up anymore for some reason.
At least it's not like Reddit, where they are literally removing links via database and removing formatting of long posts so it's impossible to read if there's specific links/keywords.
Here at least we can recover and learn a hard lesson but the platform is still sound.
