You can't discredit the story. There are people who pay $1,000 for a wagyu beef Cheesesteak. This pizza has loads of caviar and truffle on it. Those ingredients are far more expensive than the gold leaf.
No one would argue that this is wise/logical purchase. Haha. But I think trying to loop this in and pick apart the article itself dilutes or efforts here.
